Deeper-uninterrupted sleep

When it is dark, our body produces melatonin (sleep hormone). This makes us sleep. Exposure to light prevents melatonin release, keeping us awake while the lack of light exposure signals our body to “go to sleep!”. (The Science of Sleep, acs.org)

With 100% light blocking, these sleep masks support the release of melatonin - during the day, the night or while travelling.

Made for a heavenly sleep

Premium quality fabric with thoughtfully designed features:

  • A comfortable elastic band ensures the sleep mask sits snug around the eyes and back of your head.
  • A contoured nose shape securely places the sleep mask without wanting you to fidget with it.
  • A soft filling that feels like clouds on the eyes.
  • Really cute colours!!!!!

Responsibly sourced Eucalyptus

We only source our eucalyptus from sustainably managed, biodiverse farm - no koalas were harmed in the making of our bedding. In comparison, Cotton cultivation overuses fertilisers which has an adverse impact on land fertility and surrounding animal life.

Near zero wastage

Our bedding is produced via a Closed Loop Production Process which means the material wasted during production is reused. In comparison, Cotton production is infamous for dumping toxic waste, fertilisers, pesticides and insecticides.

Naturally biodegradable

Made with cellulosic fibres, Bed&Butter Eucalyptus bedding is naturally biodegradable and degrade faster than most fibres like traditional Cotton, Linen and Silk.

Cruelty-free

Bed&Butter Eucalyptus fabric is spun from fibres of Eucalyptus wood pulp without any toxic chemicals.

Unlike commercial Silk which is harvested from steaming cocoons, thus killing them in the process.

96% less water used

Bed&Butter Eucalyptus bedding use 153 litres of water vs 4,020 litres required by traditional Cotton.

Eucalyptus doesn't require a lot of water to grow, Cotton on the other hand is one of the thirstiest crops in the world.

30% less energy used

Bed&Butter Eucalyptus bedding use 19kWh of energy to be produced vs 27kWh used by traditional Cotton. Cotton requires more energy to process and treat, leading to a higher energy consumption.

Can I use Bed&Butter Eucalyptus bedding if I'm allergic to eucalyptus?

Absolutely! Our bedding is made from eucalyptus wood pulp, which is safely processed into yarn without any oils or perfumes that might cause allergies. So you can sleep soundly knowing your bedding is gentle and safe on your skin.

What is the thread count?

Our sheets are 400 thread-count and a sateen weave. After multiple R&D rounds, we chose 400 because of its airy and breathable properties.

It is a common misconception that the higher the thread count, the better the fabric is. This is not always true. Rather than the thread count, it is the quality of the threads used that is important. Thread count has nothing to do with a fabric’s breathability, comfort or softness. A 400 thread count sheet may be softer and more breathable than a 1000 thread count sheet. Factors like breathability come down to the quality of yarn used.

How does your price compare to competitors?

We're priced in the mid-range. More expensive than lower quality alternatives like blended cotton, polyester, traditional bamboo but less expensive that Egyptian Cotton and Linen sheets.

Our product is built using the highest quality raw materials and with adherence to high sustainability and ethics standards. This comes at a price.

But to ensure we are more affordable, we operate a direct-to-consumer business. This allows us to pass savings onto customers by avoiding overhead costs like rents, high retail margins etc.
